CBI-electric low voltage is a supplier of electrical protection and automation solutions for global applications. These solutions include products such as Miniature Circuit Breakers, Moulded Case Circuit Breakers, wiring accessories, and specialised application Circuit Breakers. CBI-electric low voltage previously known as Circuit Breaker Industries or CBI, is located in Johannesburg, South Africa. CBI supplies world-class low voltage electrical distribution, protection and control equipment.
With an exciting background of groundbreaking achievements, CBI-electric: low voltage has prospered for more than five decades to become a leader in the design, development, and manufacture of circuit breakers. CBI supplies products to sectors such as Residential Utilities, Commercial developers, Industrial and mining and general power distribution applications.
Over the past 10 years, based on our successes the majority of our production output is exported and they hold safety approvals from Europe, Germany Russia, Ukraine, China, Japan and the United States of America. Export markets are served by subsidiaries in Germany Australia and the United States of America, CBI-electric low voltage has established itself as a supplier of World-class products and solutions to niche markets globally.
CBI-electric: African Cables
CBI-electric: african cables has been designing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of electrical power cables at their factory in Vereeniging, near Johannesburg, since 1935. The growth of the manufacturing facility has been consistent with the demand for the product locally while technological advancement has remained abreast of international trends. Apart from product manufacture, CBI-electric: african cables also boasts a division specialising in the installation and maintenance of medium and high-voltage cable. This division of the company, known as Power Installations, is presently the sole southern African cable installation company accredited with ISO 9001 quality certification and have a 9EE CIDB rating.
The company aims to be technical partners, with its customers and the consistent policy concentrating on technological innovation, social responsibility, and quality delivery makes this a firm reality.
